8th Annual Alemany Farm Earth Day Celebration
Saturday, April 19, 11am – 5pm
at Alemany Farm, 700 Alemany Blvd, SF

Here’s what’s slated:
Food: BBQ & potluck picnic (we’ll have spit-roast pig, smoked meat and veggies, BBQ items, and fresh tossed farm salad) — please bring a side dish or dessert to share for the potluck (1pm-ish)
Music: Hawaiian ukulele & singing with JTown Hui (Noon); old-time bluegrass with The Knuckle Knockers (early afternoon)
Work: Farm tasks in the lower garden and native plant areas (11am – 1pm) — work up an appetite before lunch!
Play: T-shirt stenciling (bring your own shirt); Face painting
Tours & Demos: Farm tours (11:30am & 3pm); Herb walk & tea making (2:30pm); Solar oven demo & solar oven goodies
…and Community, of course!
You’ll also have a chance to check out our new outdoor kitchen space, which we’ll be using for the first time!
– In the spirit of Earth Day, please bring your own reusable utensils, cups, & plates, if possible. –

PLEASE NOTE: There will NOT be workdays on Sunday, April 20 or Saturday April 26!

Get ready for our upcoming series of spring/summer workshops starting in May! Workshop topics will include Soil Fertility; Native Plants; Aquaculture; and Irrigation. We’ll have a detailed roster available at the Earth Day celebration, and online soon thereafter.
