No workday April 29 + Earth Day Thanks

Dear Farm Friends,

Please note that we will NOT have a community workday this weekend, due to Rebuilding Day on April 29.

(What is Rebuilding Day? It’s a chance for Friends of Alemany Farm to once again partner with and benefit from the volunteer power and expertise of Rebuilding Together, which will bring dozens of folks out to the farm under the direction of contractors, architects, and engineers to work on a variety of infrastructure projects. In the past, they’ve rebuilt our footbridge, stairways, and raised beds, among other things. So stop by in May to see the improvements we have in store this year!)

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make last Saturday’s Earth Day Celebration a big success! Special thanks to:

Bi-Rite Market and the San Francisco Professional Gardeners Association for their generous donations
– Our partners at Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center and the Urban Services YMCA for offering face painting, T-shirt decorating, and other activities for kids

– Musical friends KC & the Moonshine Band for the sweet live tunes

and all the lovely volunteers who helped out with food prep, greeting table, herb crafts, farm chores, set-up, clean-up, etc. We can’t do it without you.

We hope you all had as much fun as we did!
